Expert Witness Fee Schedule

Retainer Fee: $3,500.00
The retainer fee is payable in full upon the selection of the expert witness. This fee covers all professional services rendered in connection with the case and will be invoiced upon appointment.

Testimony Fee: $400.00 per hour
This fee applies to all testimony provided by the expert witness, including, but not limited to, courtroom testimony and deposition testimony.

Site and K9 Inspections: $300.00 per hour
This fee applies when site and/or K9 inspections are required. It includes, but is not limited to, meetings with the K9 and handler, as well as site visits to one or more locations relevant to the case.

Services Fee: $300.00 per hour
This fee covers any and all work performed on the case, including but not limited to: review of body-worn camera footage, analysis of reports, preparation of depositions and reports, consultation (in-person or via telephone), and courtroom preparation.

Travel Fee: $75.00 per hour
This fee applies to travel outside of Chico, California. Airfare and hotel accommodations will be reimbursed in full and billed separately following travel. Should a rental car be necessary, it will also be reimbursed and billed after travel.

Per Diem: $300.00 per day
A per diem fee is charged for each day of travel, and will be invoiced for travel days associated with the case.
